Permanent Lip Lining is a cosmetic tattoo technique designed to define, enhance, and perfect the natural shape of your lips. Using a specialized permanent makeup machine, our artist meticulously implants pigment along the lip border, creating a beautiful, crisp, and symmetrical contour. This service not only defines the lip line but can also correct minor asymmetries and give the illusion of fuller, more voluminous lips, all without the need for daily makeup application.
Who is it for?
Permanent Lip Lining is an ideal service for anyone who:
Wants to create a more defined lip border.
Has uneven or asymmetrical lips and desires to correct them.
Wishes to restore lost lip definition due to the natural aging process.
Wants to prevent lipstick from bleeding and smudging.
Aims to simplify their daily beauty routine.
Step-by-Step Procedure
Consultation & Lip Mapping: Your session begins with a detailed consultation. We will discuss your desired outcome, from the ideal shape to the perfect color. Your artist will then use a cosmetic pencil to carefully map out the new lip line, allowing you to see and approve the design before we begin.
Numbing: A topical numbing cream is applied to the lip area to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.
Pigment Selection: We will select a pigment shade that either closely matches your natural lip color for a subtle enhancement or a slightly bolder tone for a more dramatic, defined look.
Pigment Application: Using a state-of-the-art permanent makeup machine, your artist will gently and meticulously apply the pigment along the custom-mapped lip line, creating a clean, permanent contour.
Finishing: After the procedure, the area is gently cleaned and your artist will provide you with a comprehensive aftercare guide to ensure beautiful, long-lasting results.
Aftercare / Healing Process
The healing process for permanent lip lining is relatively quick, with initial healing taking about 3-5 days. Full color stabilization occurs after 4-6 weeks.
Days 1-3: Your lips may feel tender and appear a bit swollen and the color will look very vibrant. This is normal and will subside.
Days 4-7: The outer layer of the skin will begin to gently flake. It is crucial to let this happen naturally and do not pick or peel at the skin.
Weeks 2-4: The color will appear to have faded significantly as the pigment settles into the dermal layer of the skin.
Week 6: The final, true color and crisp line will be fully visible. A follow-up "Perfecting Session" is scheduled to fine-tune the shape and add any necessary color.
Aftercare is essential for beautiful results!
Aftercare is crucial! We will provide you with a detailed aftercare kit, which includes instructions to:
Keep your lips moisturized with the provided aftercare balm.
Avoid spicy foods, hot liquids, and direct sun exposure.
Refrain from picking or scratching the area.
