Step-by-Step Procedure
Consultation & Assessment: Your journey begins with a detailed consultation. Your artist will carefully assess your lip color and discuss your desired outcome. We will explain the process, the importance of multiple sessions, and manage expectations for the immediate and long-term results.
Numbing: A professional-grade topical numbing cream is applied to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.
Pigment Selection: Your artist will select a specific neutralizing pigment, often an orange or yellow-based color, to counteract the cool tones in your lips.
Pigment Application: Using a specialized permanent makeup machine, your artist will meticulously and gently implant the neutralizing pigment across the entire lip area.
Finishing: After the session, the area is gently cleaned, and you will receive a comprehensive aftercare guide. Your lips will look very orange or red immediately after the procedure—this is a normal and necessary step!
Aftercare / Healing Process
The healing process for each session takes about 5-7 days for the initial flaking, with the final color being revealed after 6-8 weeks.
Immediately After: Lips will be swollen and appear very bright orange or reddish. This is the neutralizing pigment working its magic.
Days 4-7: The lips will begin to flake. Do not pick! This is a crucial step in the process.
Weeks 2-4: The color will fade and may still look patchy or uneven. This is a normal part of the process as the true neutralized color begins to surface.
Week 8+: The full neutralized color is revealed. You will return for your next session to continue building a brighter base or to apply your final desired color.
